i train my chest hard every week. Its difficult when i dont have my buddy sam with me becuase i cant dumbbell press 40 kg (or heavier) as id like to. Weight training is achievable on your own in my opinion, but in order to maximise your works outs you definately need a training partner.
I find that without Sam, although my workouts are more concise and may be quicker, I dont necessarily push myself as much and he also helps to make sure that I am using the right techniques.
Moral of this post, if you want to push heavy weight and progress your training, make sure you have a partner that will support you.
